Intelligent play, flar in abudance as players made darting runs to latch on to smartly flicked through-balls and an unwavering resilience from a team designed to perform well in the face of adversity. The Japanese really were quite good. England, on the other hand, lacked any real bite as Fabio Capello ran the rule over the final intricacies of his team. Darren Bent is omitted, and probably rightly so based on his international performances, and the team seems pretty much set in stone now with perhaps to odd surprise to come. On the upside it was good to see Own Goal get his deserved call up from Man Utd and rescue us against a good team from Japan. Hopefully he continues his good form into the World Cup when it begins in a couple of weeks time. |

Come inside to see how the match against Mexico was seen through our eyes. |
