This thread is partly based on a comment Robanner made in another post about our finances, it made me think what our squad is actually worth in terms of asset value?
Im not talking about what we paid, but more like what we think they are worth now in the current market in their current form.

Below is my list from highest value downwards. Its just my opinion and what I think we could realistically sell them for....

Darren Bent - £15m
Kenwyne Jones - £10m
Jordan Henderson - £7m
Craig Gordon - £7m
John Mensah - £6m
Lee Cattermole - £6m
Lorik Cana - £6m
Michael Turner - £6m
Anton Ferdinand - £5m
Andy Reid - £5m
Kieron Richardson - £4m
Frazier Campbell - £3m

The rest are all £3m under.
So Id say the squad is worth in the region of £85m-£90m

Sell up Ellis and get yaself on ya jollies :)

Think you are pretty close with those figures Chester.

It's hard to value Mensah - if he was 100% healthy he would be £6m at least, but with his problems I would halve it to £3m. Might even be too risky to pay that?

I did a similar list earlier in the season (when we were playing well) and came to over £100m. Quite a few players have probably slipped a bit in value since then.

Did you include Mensah, but not Hutton because of the option to buy at the end of the season?

I would expect Hutton to be around £4m. I think SB has taken up the option to buy him already - but lets face it, it wouldn't have taken him long to realise Hutt has more about him than the more solid Bardo does.

I think Fulop could possibly fetch £3m and you could add another £1m on Killa's value as he's proved to be a decent - if not spectacular - Premier League defender so far.

If Adam Johnson is worth £7m then Jordan certainly is; also interesting to see that you feel Gordon's value has only depreciated by £2m as many would disagree (I'm not one of them as I think he's one of the best keepers in the Premier League)

Is it an oversight Chester or are you putting Noz and the Murph in with the under £3m's?

Keith, Id pay a team to take those two! :)

And Wimmera, I didnt include Hutton for that reason yeah, I dont think we have a deal to sign him permanently from Spurs in place, although the fact he plays for Spurs increases the chances of us signing him tenfold :)

Might want to bump Bents price tag up a bit :)

I think the valuations are pretty fair the only thing i would say is I know Henderson has done well but unlike adam johnson he hasn't featured for the under 21's yet probably only because of his injury. But I think Cattermole is worth more than him because he is still very young and an established premier league and under 21 international
