If it's true that Bruce is considering a £10m bid for McGeady in the summer, should we have offered more than £6m(?) for Adam Johnson?
Haven't seen a lot of either players and then only on TV, but given a choice would probably have preferred Johnson. I realise Johnson would have been free in the summer, but once Man City showed interest we had to pay and we were very keen to get him.

Tbh buddy I think both are top players and would have been over the moon if we had got Johnston but likewise for McGeady. The only thing about McGeady is that his career went backward for a bit but think a change and the challenge of the prem would do him the world of good.

Dont underestimate mcgeady, the boy is top draw & some prem club will benifit massively when (if) he does join them. He has a lot of champs league/european experience& has managed the weight of being a key senior player at that level, something that Johnson has not yet had to do, & is more skillfull on the ball than Johnson.
Dont get me wrong, I really rate Johnson & would love to have seen him here but i would prefer mcgeady, the lad has a little magic about him & I think we could really do with that at the SoL.

To tell you the truth I couldn't care about either of them @ this point- we have our squad that we need to support & this speculation only detracts from the matter @ hand(form).
Surely after the last transfer scenarios S.A.F.C should play their cards a little more closely to their chest when it comes to interest in signing other players.
January is just over & now it's- 'we'll bid 10 mil for McGeady in the summer cos he's mint'!!
Who gives a sh*t- so are so many other quality players, not playing for us but alerting other clubs about potentials & un-settling them can lead to egg-on-your-face, especially early-on like this.
Right now our focus shouldn't be on 'him over there'- it should be on- 'let's get our act sorted-out & get back to winning ways'.
If he's that good everyone else will be watching him & Irish connections or not he'll be off when a bigger club comes in- ala Johnson- more to the point if we don't sort ourselves out it will make McGeady's(or whoever for that reason) decision easier as they won't want to come & struggle along!
p.s- not having a go 'Wim'- I just think the club should be abit more 'coy' in their dealings.

McGeedy and Johnson would take both of them in a heart beat, not bothered which one, I'd also love to see us sign N'Zogbia from wigan, As he is also catching the eye at the moment and SB knows all about him,
So any one of the three, adds a bit of pace down the flanks, Which we are desperate for. I thought we should have signed a winger instead of a defender in the window.
Bring back tainio aswell, if he's not injured.
