No doubting it will be a tough game and they will have home advantage.

But our away form under MON is impressive (In fact, our form in general is pretty darn good) and surely we have enough quality to win this one and set up a 'glamorous' tie against Arsenal.

Really hoped to get a ticket but nevermind. Oversubscribed and other fans who go to more games got ahead of me and rightly so.

So ITV and a few cans of beer on the couch on Wednesday for me....

Anybody want to take a punt at the attendance?

With our 4,200 allocation I'd say the crowd will be 9,000 :werule:

Cracking cup tie,end to end and plenty of drama.Excellent goal by Colback.Their goal coulda been prevented.Man o match for me was Bardo,brilliant display and wish one of his 42 efforts on goal woulda gone in :yes: Kieran was his usual shite at being left back and most of the others were o;k. Thought Sess was on one of his greedy days when he didn't fancy passing and i lost count of the times in the second half Mc Clean was in acres of space only to be ignored.He finally got pissed off and began to cone inside.Nice to see a player with an eagerness to get on the ball.
Performance overall was adequate,we won so that'll do.Credit to Boro too,Mowbury's got em playing good football and having 9 outta the 11 from the area is something to be envied.How many did we have? 1 !!!! ah well better than none eh

The Boro fan I interviewed a few weeks back text me last night and said;

"Shite match. Sunderland didnt deserve to win. We deserved more over two games. Referee was f*****g horrendous tonight. Not happy"

I thought the ref was good last night. kept game flowing and no cards dished out in a derby is very well done.

I agree we have not been at our best in the two games against Boro but its always tough against resolute Championship teams with high work rate.

I still reckon we showed our quality though and Jack's goal was brilliant.

MOTM for me would be either Bardsley who was very impressive, or Colback because his goal aside, he never stopped working all night.

Well done and bye bye Smog monsters.

ps. Did anyone else see the Boro fans run on the pitch and one tackled his own player Justin Hoyte! Absolute madness. I know they breathe chemicals in down there but come on!

pps. The chants of "Paedo! Paedo!" as he was sragged off by stewards by 4,200 SAFC fans was priceless. :safc:
