And so the dream remains alive for SAFC in this year's FA Cup.......

A lot of us were probably hoping for a home draw against the Mags but to be drawn at home to our friends in Teeside is not a bad game in the making.

Beyond the ribbing we give them (some appropriate and some less appropriate) its fair to say this is not really a derby but our lack of competitive neighbours mean after the barcodes, Boro are our nearest rivals.

Boro have an array of young talent in their current set up which has been a common theme over the last 15 years or so. Their youth set up is among one of the best in the country and they have some exciting talent destined for the Premiership.

This will not be an easy game and they will arrive on Wearside with big support (unlike at home) and nothing to lose except pride if they suffer defeat in the "derby".

I only hope that Sunderland fans turn out in force and we can force an attendance of 40,000+ for this one.

Its not often we play our cousins from Cleveland so lets make it a cracking tie and show the rest of the country that we are a force to be reckoned with in this year's competition.....

Ticket Information to come....

£20 for an Adult ticket and thats anywhere in stadium. I bought 5 today and had difficulty getting them all together so if you are planning on going with your mates, get in there ASAP.

Match confirmed as Sunday 29th January. Kick off at 13.30. Live on ITV.

Really hope the fans turn out in force and dont stay away cos its on the box. Boro bringing bus loads as its their cup final so get along!
