Illness is the reason this update has been so long in the making. Perhaps I went into shock following Sunderland's remarkable 4-0 victory over Bolton, snapping the dreaded no-win streak and also giving the team their first double of the season. Either way, I'm back to my best just about and hopefully so too are Sunderland.

 News of internal punishment at the club comes as unwelcome news to fans who feel to be going through eternal punishment themselves. Steed Malbranque breached club rules prior to Sunday's match with Fulham and was duly dropped. The news itself does not carry any further interest, however an interesting thought was the first thing to pop up in my mind.
